It so happened that I have been keeping a keyboard in my hands since 1989, and the world of IT has always played an important role in my life. It is noteworthy that I was never attracted to a programmer’s profession, though I already programmed in the junior school. But the architecture of electronic systems – software and especially hardware – is what seemed and seems to be really exciting business. In the early student years, this passion sublimated in the self-assembly of various computer hardware for friends, and later – in the start-up of an innovative business. In 2011, KIT Solutions was established, where I became a co-founding partner and a system architect.

That time we were among the pioneers in several branches of e-commerce. In addition to electronic kiosks, which gradually began to appear in the world retail, we also engineered the virtual fitting rooms (blast from the past!), developed the nation’s first restaurant menu with the client-server architecture (client on iPad), and participated in some projects regarded to self-checkout services. We were also spotted in the electronic document workflow solutions production and even related to the systems for modeling and visualizing accidents and disasters. But the ‘pet fancy’ of KIT Solutions were integrated solutions for e-commerce, starting from a business processes analysis and audit, following by building of a new sales channel, accompanied by the implementation of a custom-tuned software and hardware systems of different architectures (sale$core , kit4fit). Undoubtedly, there were golden years. Since then, in particular, the sketches of various ambitious projects, too complex for a small IT company, have been made. Here I share some of them, as well as other thoughts from the field of IT and nearby.
